Le tuyau enfermant est l'élément principal structural d'un puits. Le tuyau d'enveloppe d'api 5CT est un à large diamètre
tuyau d'acier qui sert d'arrêtoir structurel aux murs des puits de pétrole et de gaz, et typiquement tenu dans
endroit avec le ciment.
L'enveloppe d'api 5CT est insérée dans un trou bon et a cimenté en place pour protéger les deux formations sous la surface
et le puits de s'effondrer et pour permettre au fluide de forage de circuler et à l'extraction d'avoir lieu.
Le coût de l'enveloppe est une partie principale du coût bon global, ainsi sélection de la taille d'enveloppe, catégorie, connecteurs,
et l'établissement de la profondeur est une ingénierie primaire et une considération économique.
